Pregnancy After Preeclampsia by Madison Lee

Don’t judge a book by its cover or rather title. You might think what is preeclampsia? If you are planning to have a baby, do read this book because it will teach you some real life lessons e.g. asserting your rights as a patient / mother-to-be and how we shouldn’t always follow unquestioningly just because doctors, nurses, nutritionists etc are the “experts” and yes you’ve the right to request not to be a guinea pig for medical students to probe at. This book is not just about a woman dealing with life-threatening preeclampsia, but also about her journey as a mother. After her first unfortunate experience with preeclampsia, she sought to become more informed, prepared and assertive in her second pregnancy. This book is easy to read and written from the author’s point of view which roller coaster from pregnancy jitters, humor to joy. Read this book even if you think you’ve a slim chance of getting preeclampsia because at least you’ll know how to deal with unsympathetic, rude or self-serving experts. Kudos to the author for sharing her personal ordeal so that other mothers-to-be can avoid the same situation and be more well-prepared. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
